Purpose of the widget
The Wordpress Plugin Member Access helps administrators to divide pages and post into member and public objects. But the internal wordpress “Pages Sidebar Widget” still displays all the pages that are in the database. It simply ignores the member access options. The “Member Access Pages Widget” is able to overcome this issue.
How it works
The widget has two options:
- The title that will be displayed in the sidebar
- The pages that should be displayed in the sidebar
The second option can be either
- All Pages
Displays all pages like the original “Pages Widget” - Allowed Pages
Displays all public pages, plus all member pages only if the user is logged in (e.g. hides all member pages, if not logged in) (this is the default behavior of the widget) - Only Private
Displays only private pages (the user is logged in or not) - Only Public
Displays only public pages - Only Default
Displays only pages with the member access visibility set to “Default”
The member access visibility must be set using the “Member Access” Plugin. It is though required for this widget to work correctly.
